A new year means new ideas! And when you work in an industry where every day is truly different from the last, the stories and experiences add up.
Speaking social media, you might have ‘met’ us on Facebook or Twitter but we want you to get a sense of who we really are. This blog will help build and develop a fuller picture of that.
A HUGE thank you to everyone that submitted ideas for naming our new blog. We had more than 100 to choose from and the decision was difficult but as you can see, we went with Cops&Bloggers. Thanks to @jakepedrosa for the idea!
By way of blogging, we want to inform you, we want to enlighten you, and we want to deliver a different perspective – an inside perspective – of the men and women that help keep our community safe. But that’s only part of it.
What else can you expect besides the patrol stories or officer profiles? We’ll share our community involvement initiatives, we’ll explain some of our processes (online reporting anyone?!), provide crime prevention tips and public safety notices. But above all, we’ll listen. So please, share your thoughts with us. After all, the purpose of this blog is to provide you with the information you want. Post your comments, thoughts and opinions, but do so in a way that encourages honesty and respect.
