Looking Through Our History

As the completion of our new headquarters approaches, we want to foster an interest in the history of the SPS by creating and maintaining a museum of displays and artifacts. These historical exhibits will be on display in the front lobby of the new station for all visitors and SPS members to enjoy!

Our current collection consists of a wide variety of objects including:

  • Badges, shoulder flashes, uniforms
  • Equipment used by the service including handcuffs, flashlights, computer equipment, communications equipment, breathalyzers
  • Items relating to the history of our specialized teams (Canine, ERT, Explosives Disposal Unit)
  • Items confiscated by the Police including prohibited weapons and drug paraphernalia
  • Objects related to building history

If you have any artifacts or photographs of your Saskatoon Police Experiences which you would like to share with museum visitors, we invite you to consider incorporating them into our historical displays. Please contact us at: museum@police.saskatoon.sk.ca.
