Saskatoon Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred early Sunday.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., March 10, 2013, a male suspect approached the pharmacy counter at a drug store in the 2100 block of 8th Street East. He jumped over the counter and threatened the staff member with a can of bear spray and a machete. He demanded prescription medication. When other staff attempted to intervene the suspect showed was was believed to be a handgun tucked into his waistband. He then fled the store with the medication. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a First Nations male in his mid 20’s, approximately 6′ tall, thin, with an acne scarred face. He was wearing a black ballcap with a white symbol and a gold tag on the brim, a baby blue zip-up hoodie, black track pants with a white stripe, black shoes, and a pink and white bandanna.
